Erik West-Millette is a multi-disciplinary musician with more than 50 albums to his production credit; he has played on more than 200 recordings.
A sought-after composer for film projects, theater and sound environments, he has also acted as musical director for numerous multimedia projects at CBC Radio and Television.
Able to create his own instruments, Erik also creates artistic installations using his skills as a composer, producer and arranger. His experience has led him to develop a distinctive blend of soul-food music. He has collaborated with such well-known musicians such as Doctor John, Willie West, Captain Van Walls, Bia, Nanette Workman, Mary Jo Thério, Richard Séguin, Robert Seven Crows, Jordan Officer and Thomas Hellman, in the studio and on the road.
2013 is another banner year for this talented artist, with a Jutra award for best original music for the soundtrack of Camion from director Rafaël Ouellet. He is currently working on a number of audio-visual projects.
